I have a bit of a situation.  I am a designer who can’t design.  Now I know you’re saying “what the hell are you doing in this field then?!”  And to that I would reply, “Let me finish first. You jerk.”  What I mean is that I am a designer who can’t LEGALLY design a lot of things that people want me to design which are in my scope of capability.  And in a time like this where work is sometimes few and far between, what am I supposed to do?!  Pass it up and give it away?!  Well, I can’t do that.  Just can’t.
I understand when it comes to actual structures that will be up for decades, I cannot design it on my own.  But I feel like I can handle doing a small shop with relatively no problems.  Especially when the scope of work is so narrow: demolishing non-load bearing walls is not difficult at all.  In fact, I get a little bit of my stress relief from it when we don’t need the materials for salvage.  When you take a sledge hammer through drywall, there’s nothing like it.  It’s as if you’re doing something incredibly wrong but no one tells you to stop.  But I digress.
What do I do?  I’m just trying to make a name for myself and doing quality, solid, well thought out work is one of the best ways to do so.  I need answers and an outlet.  Electrical and otherwise.
